Silver Surf Motel - San Simeon

had real good stay on our vacation. we were moved to a queen room with modern bathroom with new flooring, a gas fireplace, a balcony.

Didn't like the staff, some of them were unprofessional.

The venue's position was remote.

I ate at an outstanding restaurant for dinner.

The hotel with brand-new rooms, in a large grassy area, close to the sea shore. Comfy and decent location, walking distance to everywhere. Comfortable room with very comfortable bed and a balcony and soft linens.

Clean, comfortable, has a fridge, coffee machine, convenient location

No such thing.

Nice bathroom, big bed.

No hair dryer, no TV working.

Location near the beach and right next to the highway. Our room and bath were clean and relatively spacious. We had a window in the bathroom and a balcony towards the green atrium. The towels were good. Vending machines and ice cubes available.

The price was way too high for the weird neighborhood. We felt absolutely not safe or welcome here. Maybe it's better if you speak spanish. No grocery store in range (just a really pricy mini mart with poor selection). Strange staff, not friendly. My bedside lamp was broken and could not be replaced in 2 days. The ice box in the fridge melted our icecream. We could not shorten our stay because they would not have refunded our money.

Location is fantastic!

Possibly the best and VERY RELAXING stay on our vacation. Magnificent remote location and amazingly nice and pleasant staff. Besides, excellent for visiting Jade Cove.

Don't bother with the $5 breakfast deal, too crowded, opens late, not vaule for money.

The room was modern and fresh. The beach access made for some fantastic family fun. The price was right too.

My kids wished there were more family-friendly dining options nearby.

Staff was friendly, Nice lawn area. Lots of hot water. No distubance at night.

After booking, they would not honor our reservation and tried to break it, until they were threatened by Booked.net with having to pay for the replacement reservation. The extra trouble they caused me (rebooking somewhere else) then changing their mind and making me cancel the alternate reservation was inexcusable and set the tone for my stay. The location set the price, not the quality of the motel. Nowhere else would such a mediocre hotel cost so much.

The room was super spacious, clean, and the bed was the most comfortable i've ever slept on while traveling. It's also just a short drive to hearst castle and big sur, perfect. The indoor heated pool was a nice bonus for relaxation!

I needed a place to stay on my 2-day trip from la north to San Simion and back the following day.

Very much over priced compared to the motels I booked on my 2-week trip out west from New York. The motel was nice--no complaints. Supply and Demand -- correct!!! Luckily, I was able to cover my financially- challenged travel mates.
